No new work for this Tufts Composers concert was written before it was walked: A program of new solo and chamber music by Tufts composers Jeannette Chechile, Joaquin de Jesus, Ronja Mokráňová, Edwin Munera, Molly Preston and Rachel Shurland. Featuring the Boston premieres of Joseph Hanson Kwabena Nketia’s “Three Ghanaian Airs” for viola and piano and Thomas Stumpf’s solo piano work “Wahn und Weisheit” (“Madness and Wisdom”). With performing guests Sam Childers, bassoon; Anna Griffis, viola; Edwin Munera, guitar; Thomas Stumpf, piano, and many others. Note: Due to university COVID regulations, live audience attendees at Tufts Music events must be prepared to present a Tufts ID or COVID vaccination card showing that they have been vaccinated and boosted.
