The City of Medford’s annual Patriots’ Day Celebration begins with a 10 a.m. ceremony at the Salem Street Burying Ground between Salem Street and Riverside Avenue at River Street. At 10:30 a.m., the celebration moves to historic Medford Square for fun activities, food and drinks. At 11:30 a.m., gather at Captain Isaac Hall’s House (now the Islamic Cultural Center of Medford) at 43 High Street to await the noon arrival of Paul Revere in the reenactment of his historic Midnight Ride from Charlestown to Lexington and Concord. The ICCM will be serving hot chocolate like Abagail Brooks did for the Colonial Minutemen and Militias passing through Medford, on their way to fight the British. There will also be Colonial dress-up for children and the reading of Longfellow’s poem, “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere.”
