Ever looked at a simple home project and weren’t sure where to start? This class is for you. In a welcoming, hands-on environment, you’ll learn what belongs in every starter toolbox, use the most common household tools, and gain the confidence to take on basic home projects yourself.

You’ll learn by doing – assembling and mounting a small shelf onto a wall. Along the way, your instructor, a local contractor specializing in older homes, will share the kind of practical tips and tricks that come from years of real-world experience.

You’ll learn how to:

• Select the right drill bit, screws, and wall anchors for the job
• Drive screws without stripping them
• Find studs and hang heavy objects safely
• Avoid disasters: steer clear of pipes and wiring in your walls
