DESCRIPTION:Join us for the opening reception of Defunded/Defunked!—an energetic and thought-provoking exhibition curated by and featuring artists from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. \nThis exhibition explores what it means to create\, resist\, and find joy within systems shaped by scarcity\, excess\, and shifting cultural values. Through humor\, irreverence\, and experimentation across media\, the artists respond to the constraints of funding\, the legacy of funk art\, and the complexities of making work in a politically and technologically charged moment. \nThe evening offers a chance to meet the artists\, engage in lively conversation\, and experience the work in a welcoming\, community-driven space. Light refreshments will be provided.
