SUMMARY:MHSM: Clippership Connector
DESCRIPTION:Learn about The Mystic River Master Plan from 2009\, the larger Mystic River Greenway\, the community-driven effort to initiate the project\, and the design\, permitting and construction process that led to what we see today. The Clippership Connector is a new\, half-mile multi-use path in Medford\, MA\, that connects Medford Square to Riverbend Park and the existing Mystic River Greenway system. It provides a safe and scenic off-street route for pedestrians and cyclists\, linking over 10 miles of contiguous paths between the square\, Andrew/McGlynn Schools\, and the parks along the Mystic River. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a retirement celebration in honor of Barbara Kerr! \nBarbara has served the Medford community at the library for 42 years. This April marks the ten-year anniversary of her position as Director of the Library. Barbara was instrumental in securing the state grant from the MA Board of Library Commissioners that launched the campaign to build a new library for Medford. Not only did she lead the library through the construction and outfitting of the Charlotte & William Bloomberg Medford Public Library\, she also championed the library’s growth into its new space. \nWe celebrate Barbara as she marks the end of her service as a librarian in Medford. Come share your favorite stories\, have a slice of cake\, and wish Barbara well as she gets ready for her next great adventure. Cake and refreshments will be served.

SUMMARY:Dance Caliente: Swing Partner-Dancing
DESCRIPTION:Together as Dance Caliente\, Raul and Eileen share a compelling magnetism as master teachers\, choreographers\, and performers. Their goal is to impart the joy of partner dancing onto their students. They welcome students of varying ages and experience. In the classroom\, with two teachers they are able to separate group classes into sections according to ability or desire\, while still finding opportunities to give individualized attention. They show a high level of commitment to meeting every student’s needs through their patience and sincerity\, and by creating an atmosphere of fun and energy. Along with their exceptional teaching techniques\, Dance Caliente creates the best possible learning environment. \nThis month\, Dance Caliente will be presenting Swing Partner-Dancing. \nThis program is supported in part by a grant from the Medford Arts Council\, a local commission that is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the City of Medford.
