This class is for you. In a welcoming\, hands-on environment\, you’ll learn what belongs in every starter toolbox\, use the most common household tools\, and gain the confidence to take on basic home projects yourself. \nYou’ll learn by doing – assembling and mounting a small shelf onto a wall. Along the way\, your instructor\, a local contractor specializing in older homes\, will share the kind of practical tips and tricks that come from years of real-world experience. \nYou’ll learn how to: \n\nSelect the right drill bit\, screws\, and wall anchors for the job\nDrive screws without stripping them\nFind studs and hang heavy objects safely\nAvoid disasters: steer clear of pipes and wiring in your walls\n\n  \nNo experience or tools required.\nAll materials provided. \nThis class was sponsored in part by a Community Fund Grant from the City of Medford and by Makers like you! \n\nBring closed-toe shoes and natural fibers.
