DESCRIPTION:Tired of endlessly scrolling on your phone? Looking to share art and fun with a child in your life? Why not learn a positive habit of keeping a sketchbook by learning together in four sessions with Sharon Santillo. Participants of all ability levels will begin with basics of sketching or add to their drawing skills\, each in their own sketchbook that is about the size of a smartphone. Sharon’s habit of scrolling on her phone was replaced with her trusty sketchbook and she wants to share the fun that an awareness of surroundings\, building memories and making marks can add to life. This class is designed for anyone who can hold a pen and sketchbook\, and even if you haven’t drawn since childhood\, you can do this. Your class fee covers the cost of two sketchbooks and two micron pens to keep\, one for adult and one for school-aged child. Additional materials will be shared in class.\n\nSharon Santillo is a long time art teacher and in 2011 was named Massachusetts Art Educator of the Year. DESCRIPTION:Explore cyanotype beyond paper and into textiles in this hands-on workshop focused on printing on fabric! During this class\, students will learn the cyanotype process through hands-on experiments starting on paper and small fabric samples\, building an understanding of exposure\, composition\, and material differences. Then we’ll transition into larger and wearable fabrics\, using textiles participants bring from home and provided objects\, such as clothing\, tote bags\, and bandanas\, to create functional\, one-of-a-kind blue prints! This workshop is beginner friendly and perfect for anyone interested in alternative photography\, surface design\, or wearable art. DESCRIPTION:Happy Mental Health Awareness Month! Join the Boston Journaling Club & Coloring Club for some art therapy! We’ll be reflecting on the spring via art journaling\, painting & group conversation. NO journaling experience or artistic skills required. Everyone is welcome! \n📍We’ll be on the 2nd floor of the ACM building\, which can be accessed via enclosed chair lift. \n✂️ We’ll provide all the art supplies. Just bring your journal! \n🪴 Everyone will get their own lil plant to take home! After we journal\, we’ll paint the flower pots. \nWe kindly ask that you confirm your attendance by 5/23 to give us enough time to buy all the materials.
