A 2024 poll revealed that roughly 7.6% of American adults identify as\nsomething other than cisgender heterosexual. Schapiro is a white\, queer\, cis woman whose identities inform a lot of her professional priorities; she makes photos that recognize the beauty in our intersecting identities and don’t cater to just one group.
