SUMMARY:Film Screening: Concord's Secret History
DESCRIPTION:With the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution happening this year\, don’t you want to learn all of the history they didn’t tell you? Head to  the Medford Public Library for a screening of the new documentary\, “Concord’s Secret History.” The film reveals a long-suppressed secret\, set in Concord\, where the first shots were fired in the Revolution on April 19\, 1775. The film explores hidden narratives from both Medford and Harvard University\, offering a richer\, more complete picture of the region’s colonial past. Reserve your seat by registering through the library’s online calendar. \n

SUMMARY:Faith and Film: American Fiction
DESCRIPTION:Sanctuary United Church of Christ and Hillside Community Church present another edition of their Faith and Film series program featuring the movie “American Fiction\,” Cord Jefferson’s hilarious directorial debut\, which confronts our culture’s obsession with reducing people to outrageous stereotypes. Those who cannot attend in person are invited to watch the film at home on Amazon Prime\, then join the discussion at 7:15 p.m. via Zoom (link available on the event page). \nSanctuary UCC began its Faith and Film series in 2016 to explore the places where pop culture meets faith.
