DESCRIPTION:This story hour at the Medford Public Library is for children between the ages of 3-7. We will explore new concepts with books and songs. Parents and caregivers are welcome to join in! Story Time ends with a short craft or activity. \nDuring Family Story Time\, grown-ups are expected to remain in the room and keep an eye on the child(ren) they’re accompanying and are encouraged to engage fully in singing and movement activities. During the craft period\, grown-ups should plan to assist their kid(s) as needed. Family Story Time can sometimes be crowded and loud; depending on the craft\, it can also get a little messy. \nNo registration required.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and engaging concert on our hillside patio\, featuring Sulinha’s Trio! \nSulinha’s Trio performs original songs from her four children’s albums. Her songs are both educational and entertaining\, covering topics such as kindness\, pedestrian safety\, movement\, playing in the snow\, dental hygiene\, the four seasons\, numbers\, and animal facts\, alongside some traditional children’s songs. Drawing from her Brazilian heritage\, Sulinha incorporates Brazilian music influences\, featuring Bossa Nova and Baião styles\, and the sounds of instruments like the berimbau and pandeiro. \nSulinha is a three-time recipient of The Parents’ Choice Award and was also recognized as the runner-up for “Best Global Children’s Artist” by Funky Kids Radio Australia. Additionally\, she received the “Best Animated Video” award for her song “Zip It Up” and was the runner-up for the video of her song “We Should Be Kind.” The trio features Sulinha on vocals and acoustic guitar\, Erico Menino on percussion\, and Tom Yates on electric guitar and vocals. \nThis is an all ages performance and registration is not required. \nIn case of rain\, the concert will be moved inside. \nThis program is part of 2026 Medford Open Studios.

This event strengthened our city and provided access to artists and creativity in homes and community spaces. \nNow\, continuing that great tradition\, Arts Collaborative Medford invites you to the first Medford Open Studios–as we expand it to include neighborhoods throughout the City. \nMOS will provide a self-guided tour of artist studios and community spaces in Medford. MOS will span visual\, spoken word\, and musical creativity. In addition to community spaces\, artists will open their own homes for the event.
