SUMMARY:Cambridge Chamber Singers Concert
DESCRIPTION:The Cambridge Chamber Singers is pleased to present a concert of Colonial\, Romantic\, jazz and contemporary music reflecting the wonderful variety that American music has to offer in “The American Patchwork: 250 Years of Choral Music”. \nThe program includes works by Justin Morgan (who “had a horse”) and the maverick Charles Ives\, as well as a representative spiritual\, Keep Your Hand on that Plow\, Hold On. The jazz set includes Gershwin’s Summertime\, Jerome Kern’s All the Things You Are\, and the toe-tapping Tuxedo Junction. The program is culminated by Samuel Barber’s masterful\, moving Agnus Dei. \nThe concert is free and open to the public .The library strives to be open and accessible for all.
