DESCRIPTION:This story hour is for children between the ages of 3-7. We will explore new concepts with books and songs. Parents and caregivers are welcome to join in! Story Time ends with a short craft or activity. \nDuring Family Story Time\, grown-ups are expected to remain in the room and keep an eye on the child(ren) they’re accompanying and are encouraged to engage fully in singing and movement activities. During the craft period\, grown-ups should plan to assist their kid(s) as needed. Family Story Time can sometimes be crowded and loud; depending on the craft\, it can also get a little messy. \nNo registration required.

SUMMARY:Intermediate Sewing: Pattern Alterations Part 1
DESCRIPTION:Join Kari at the Medford Public Library to learn how to customize a sewing pattern to suit your personal style! This two-part class will use a basic shirt pattern to start and focus on pattern making and drafting. There will be no sewing in this class\, but participants will leave with a customized pattern that they can construct independently or during drop-in hours. There may be time to start cutting your fabric during the second session\, so you can bring your own fabric if you have something specific in mind. \nThis workshop is aimed at advanced beginner and intermediate sewists who have some garment sewing experience. \nThis is a two-session workshop. Attendees MUST attend both sessions – Wednesday 7/9 in Bonsignore Hall from 6-8:30 PM and Thursday 7/10 in the MakerSpace from 6-8:30 PM. \nThis class is for adults. Register here.
